What is Windoku?
Windoku is a variation of the classic 9×9 Sudoku puzzle that introduces additional regions called windows. Along with the standard rules of Sudoku, these extra regions must also contain the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once. These overlapping constraints increase the difficulty and require deeper logical reasoning.
Windoku puzzles add an extra layer of logic to traditional Sudoku, making them a great choice for anyone who wants something more engaging than standard grids. Simply download, print, and enjoy solving anywhere at home, in classrooms, or on the go.
Basic Rules of Windoku
To solve a Windoku puzzle, follow these rules:
- Fill every empty cell with a number from 1 to 9.
- Each row must contain every number from 1 to 9 exactly once.
- Each column must contain every number from 1 to 9 exactly once.
- Each 3×3 box must contain every number from 1 to 9 exactly once.
- In addition, the four extra 3×3 “window” regions must also contain each digit from 1 to 9 exactly once.
- These window regions overlap with the standard Sudoku grid, adding extra constraints.
