What Is a Bridges (Hashi) Puzzle?
Bridges, commonly called Hashi, is a logic puzzle consisting of islands marked with numbers. Each number represents how many bridges must connect to that island. Players draw horizontal or vertical bridges between islands, following these rules:
- Bridges can only run straight (no diagonals)
- A maximum of two bridges can connect the same pair of islands
- Bridges cannot cross other bridges or islands
- All islands must be connected into a single network
The challenge is to connect all islands correctly using logic, without guessing.
