What is Argyle Sudoku?
Argyle Sudoku follows all the standard Sudoku rules: every row, column, and 3×3 box must contain the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once. In addition, several diagonal lines arranged in an argyle (diamond) pattern must also contain each digit exactly once without repetition. These extra constraints create a more challenging puzzle that requires careful logic and advanced solving techniques.
Basic Rules / How to Play
- Fill every empty cell with a number from 1 to 9.
- Each row must contain every number from 1 to 9 exactly once.
- Each column must contain every number from 1 to 9 exactly once.
- Each 3×3 box must contain every number from 1 to 9 exactly once.
- Every highlighted argyle (diamond-pattern) diagonal must also contain the numbers 1 to 9 exactly once, with no repeated digits.
